Pleks believes that design is a driver for businesses. We work with design as a problem-solving activity and a tool in business strategy, branding and identity.

Pleks’ methods are based on design knowledge, user understanding and academic research. In each project we actively use models to frame the problem and create common ground and ownership among all project stakeholders. We undertake research with methods, models and tools carefully chosen and adapted to each project. The research results are followed up by analysis. We map and identify touch points and create visual prototypes based on the findings. Our point of departure from design understanding and academic research means we can evaluate design methods and solutions, choosing and tailoring them for each project and client.

Pleks values dialogue and co-creation. We use the design process to map businesses, gain knowledge and find solutions in close collaboration with our clients.
Workshops
•Branding/identity workshop: Culture/Vision/Image. Aligning the corporate brand learning to understand the mechanisms in visual brand development.
•Co-creation workshop: Visual mood-boards. Client dialogue through visualization.
•Business strategy workshop: Strategy and uniqueness. Design-game to identify key issues and link identity/brand/design to business strategy.
We know that client involvement is crucial for the success and afterlife for each project. We engage our clients in workshops, were we together identify problems, solutions and results. We work with visualization, mood boards, personas, design games etc. All platforms where the design solution is to be unfolded are taken into consideration.
Using strategy
Pleks base projects and design solutions on strategy. We actively include findings and knowledge gathered through researching, analyzing and prototyping in each solution.
Tools we use
•Visual prototyping: Framing identity/brand prototypes based on analysis.
•Design parameters: Translating business strategy and branding into design thinking and a language.
•Design strategy: Strategy is formulated and used as a result as well as a process tool. The strategy functions both as a collective memory and dynamic tool that constantly sums up intentions, analysis, new findings and results.

We see the design process as iterative, which means that we always keep the end result in mind throughout the whole project.
